A number of evacuation centers have been set up to accommodate families, and individuals who were affected by the flood. Centers have been opened in the Western, Central and Northern Divisions. Total centers set up since 10th January was as follows;

Some evacuation centers are still in operation as health authorizes survey villages and towns. There is a lot of cleaning up to be done as some areas are still waterlogged. Most areas are still unhygienic to live in and evacuees have been transferred to other centers as health inspectors continue with their assessments.
